Just Say No to AT&T / T-Mobile

Just Say No to AT&T / T-Mobile

The government must stop AT&T’s proposed $39 billion takeover of T-Mobile – if approved, the acquisition could hurt American consumers and American jobs, undermine competition, slow broadband deployment, and threaten investment and America’s economic recovery.

Harms Consumers

 This proposed takeover could eliminate one of the country’s low-cost nationwide carriers, freeing AT&T and Verizon to increase prices.

 AT&T’s purchase of T-Mobile could create a GSM monopoly, eliminating an innovative competitor that introduces new GSM devices, such as the Google Nexus.

Legislative Awareness Day : hosted by NYS Prisoner Justice Network

May 3 2011 - 7:30am
May 3 2011 - 7:30pm

If you want to fight for parole reform, a major opportunity is Legislative Awareness Day organized by the NYS Prisoner Justice Network on Tuesday May 3. That's a week from today! Registration is at: www.nysprisonerjustice.org

It is urgent that you register immediately! Why? Because it's only 8 days away, and if you need transportation, the organizers need to know so they can rent the vans and plan the pick-up locations. As you can imagine, that's not something that can be done at the last minute. Same with lunch; the caterer needs to know your food preferences so she can lay in supplies. It all can be done on the registration page. Let's help the organizers help us! Please register now!! www.nysprisonerjustice.org.

F.R.E.E Family Resource Guide - DO YOU HAVE YOURS???

Last October, we launched the release of our Family Resource Guide, a comprehensive collection of family stories and helpful resources throughout New York State. We received generous funding from the North Star Fund, The Funding Exchange and other philanthropist agencies, as well as support from the Center for Constitutional Rights, to publish the guide.
We consider this guide "a labor of love," because it was lovingly created by those formerly incarcerated, friends and family members of the incarcerated, and advocates for justice.
Now our challenge is to make sure that EVERYONE in New York State has access to the guide and can share it with their friends, families, colleagues and anyone who might benefit from the information it contains.

HOW DO I GET A COPY???
